Warmth, Dignity, and Hope: CGCSo Reaches Out to Young Inmates at Mwembeshi

By Ngosa Mukwanya

On Friday, 3 July, our team partnered with Undikumbukire Project Zambia (UPZ) for an outreach at the Mwembeshi Remand Correctional Facility, donating winter clothing and sharing a meal with juvenile immigrants in detention.

This visit was about more than providing warm clothes. It was about restoring dignity and reminding these young people that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.

The joy on their faces reflected the power of compassion, solidarity, and human connection.

We commend UPZ for their unwavering commitment to supporting state institutions and the Zambia Correctional Services for ensuring that children in conflict with the law are treated with care and dignity. Together, we remain committed to creating impact, one act of compassion at a time

Supporting Juvenile Justice: CGCSo Partners with UP Zambia

By Ngosa Mukwanya

Lusaka, 27th June 2024 – As part of our ongoing commitment to engaging and look after the need of our communities, on 26 June 2025 CGCSo proudly partnered with Undikumbukire Project Zambia (UPZ) to support juveniles at the Lusaka Remand Correctional Facility.

This initiative was dedicated to providing warmth and comfort to young people in juvenile detention during the cold winter season. Our team, represented by General Manager Kondwani Lungu and Operations Manager Collina Munshya, joined UPZ Executive Director Sara Larios and her team in a heartfelt outreach visit.

The visit brought joy and excitement to the facility, with the juveniles visibly uplifted by the interaction, music, and dance. We were honoured to join in the donation of winter clothing and assorted food items to help them stay warm and nourished during this challenging time.

We are especially grateful to UPZ for the opportunity to partner on this initiative. Their unwavering commitment to lightening the burden on state institutions and bringing dignity and care to children in conflict with the law is truly inspiring. This magnanimous effort is a testament to their dedication to ensuring that no one is forgotten, even in the most difficult circumstances.

We remain committed to supporting such impactful work and contributing to the well-being of our communities.
