Warmth, Dignity, and Hope: CGCSo Reaches Out to Young Inmates at Mwembeshi

By Ngosa Mukwanya

On Friday, 3 July, our team partnered with Undikumbukire Project Zambia (UPZ) for an outreach at the Mwembeshi Remand Correctional Facility, donating winter clothing and sharing a meal with juvenile immigrants in detention.

This visit was about more than providing warm clothes. It was about restoring dignity and reminding these young people that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.

The joy on their faces reflected the power of compassion, solidarity, and human connection.

We commend UPZ for their unwavering commitment to supporting state institutions and the Zambia Correctional Services for ensuring that children in conflict with the law are treated with care and dignity. Together, we remain committed to creating impact, one act of compassion at a time
